Three young employees in a meeting

Leadership Workshop · 2 days

Delegating tasks that fit your team

Delegating sounds simple. So why do tasks so often end up back on your desk? Usually, it’s because tasks, strengths and responsibilities within the team don’t quite match yet.

Sound familiar?

When delegating creates more work than doing it yourself

You hand off a task – and it comes back different than expected. You have to follow up, make corrections and sometimes end up doing it yourself after all. That costs time and leads to frustration on both sides.

A task comes back different than expected – so you step in to fix it or do it yourself.

Responsibilities have evolved over time, not because they match people’s strengths.

Doing it yourself is faster – which is exactly why tasks keep landing back with you.

Facilitated team discussion clarifying roles and tasks

After changes, roles and tasks no longer fit – work gets left undone or done twice.

Our solution

Who is especially good at what?

In two days, we make it visible who is good at what – and where friction arises when a task is in the wrong hands. No pigeonholing: just delegating tasks so they stay delegated. If you want the new allocation to hold up in everyday business, the next step is our Implementation Support.

Who is this format for?

  • Leadership teams that want to better align tasks and responsibilities with existing strengths.
  • Managers and their teams who want to delegate without losing control or oversight.
  • Teams where work gets left undone, done twice or ends up back with the manager.
  • Teams going through change, for example when new employees join or roles need to be reassigned.

What you’ll walk away with after two days

How the two days work

Strengths first, then tasks

Two days are enough to get a clearer picture of your team – and to delegate tasks in the future so they stay where they belong.

1

Bringing strengths to light

Day 1: We look at the strengths of each team member. Some bring structure, others are quick to take action, and still others keep track of multiple topics at once.

2

Synergy and friction

We explore how strengths within the team complement or clash with each other. By the end of the day, it’s clear who excels at what and what each person needs to do their best work.

3

Redefining tasks

Day 2: Does the current distribution of tasks match the strengths identified the day before? What can you actually let go of, instead of delegating it and then stepping back in?

4

Delegation that sticks

You leave with a concrete new allocation and know going forward who brings which strengths – so delegating tasks means less rework.

My experience working with Caroline Läufer

Working with Caroline Läufer was incredibly rewarding for my team and me. She took a noticeable load off my shoulders as a manager by handling the administrative work, and her outside analysis gave us valuable, objective feedback.

Caroline quickly built trust, and her appreciative communication style created a positive working atmosphere. In one-on-one conversations, she helped my team members recognize their strengths and talents, understand specific needs and improve how we work together as a team.

Thanks to her structured analysis and recommendations, the team gained a clear view of its own strengths and benefited from strategies for strength-based task allocation. Her work significantly improved collaboration and motivation and was instrumental in our continued development.

I enjoyed a lot working with you and could see an incredible progress during your stay.
Just today we had a SOPs related discussion and I need to go back to a Wave C file you put together regarding priorization that was – I remember – incredibly useful.

Wishing you really all the best for your future.
Any company hiring you will find a treasure. 😊
